Prerevenue startup, 500k needed

All, have someone I know who's launching a startup that's a tech based advertising and rebate business to consumer model. Willing to make equity deal of min 100k up to 500k for 20% equity.
Can do LOC for all or partial with equity options after 6 months or so generating revenue.
