Looking for a proactive, energetic, and goal-oriented professional to join our team as a senior underwriter.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for full cycle underwriting process of new files and renewals, which includes the analysis of credit reports, bank statements, and various other business documentation.
- Perform detailed financial analysis to determine the credit worthiness of a merchant.
- Make decisions based on company checklists and guidelines.
- Issue MCA approvals.
- Communicate with ISO's, sales managers, and merchants in both written and verbal form.
- Negotiate terms and rates and assists in resolving problems that may arise on pending contracts.
- Restructure and standardize company underwriting process.
- Managing team of Jr. underwriters
Desired Skills and Experience for an Underwriter position:
- Strong work ethic.
- 3+ years of total underwriting experience in specifically in this industry is required.
- Cash Advance experience (2nd and 3rd positions) is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Expert understanding of the MCA lending process coupled with the ability to recognize positive and negative trends in credit performance.
