North Coast Financial provides home equity loans on inherited property in California. The loan can be made to either a trust or an estate if the property is going through probate. These short-term loans must be approved by either the successor trustee (irrevocable trust) or the probate administrator (probate loan).
The loans are commonly used to repair or improve the property, buyout siblings, refinance a reverse mortgage that is foreclosing or pay legal fees or other debts associated with the estate or trust. The loan is typically a 12 month term and is repaid once the property is transferred into an individual's name and then refinanced or sold.
