I've just added a fun feature to the Portfolio analysis page: the US states map, color-coded to represent how much you have invested (principal distribution, lighter is more, darker is less) and how well the loans are performing (loss distribution, blue is better, red is worse).

You can also click/tap on the map to enlarge.

I hope you guys see only blue in your maps!

I have a lot of black states. I wonder if there are a lot of states with very few borrowers? If so, then maybe it would be more appropriate to color the states based on relative number of loans (i.e. relative to the total number of loans issued in that state)?

BTW, are there any states where a borrower is not allowed to borrow? (I know that there are several states which do not allow investors to invest.)

It's a little difficult to follow the map with one color scale that includes both the number of loans and the loss. Maybe a different color scale would help, or maybe only have a color scale for the number of loans and then a number on each state that indicated the loss (e.g. 0-10)?

Also, is the loss calculated as percentage of default specific to invested loans in that state or in some other way?

I like it, but find some of the colors too similar (blue, black).  Any way for some more contrast?
