Need your experiences with P2P investments (student business competition)

Hello all,

With two of my friends, we are working on a startup in the P2P space. It's not with lending, but we feel that we'll have to compete with sites like LC and Prosper for investors.

We've entered a business competition at UC Davis where we've made it to the 2nd round. Part of our task now is to perform 20 customer calls and summarize the results.

Since we're trying to connect individual investors with businesses, we have two potential types of customers. It's been relatively easy to find businesses to talk to, but finding people actively involved in P2P investing has proven difficult.

I'm hoping to find a few people on this forum to donate about 15 minutes of their time to answer questions like:
1) What kind of return do you hope for?
2) Do you do automated investing, or control your investment yourself?
3) In your opinion, have P2P investments taken a hit in credibility with LC's recent troubles?
4) Did you receive/expect any incentives when you first signed up for each site?

and etc.

So just let me emphasize that we're not trying to sell you on our business, but just looking to learn a little about what your experiences are with P2P in general, any bottlenecks or opportunities you've noticed.
