Before rawraw asks.. I reported to LC as follows.

A) Attached is today's  notes_ext file. You will see that no loans are indicated as on a payment_plan (column AG). However loan 14428544 is in fact on a payment plan.

  https://www.lendingclub.com/foliofn/browseNotesLoanPerf.action?showfoliofn=true&loan_id=14428544&order_id=21291216&" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">https://www.lendingclub.com/foliofn/browseNotesLoanPerf.action?showfoliofn=true&loan_id=14428544&order_id=21291216&  note_id=44851619

B) The note shows as current but on payment plan. The payment on the plan is not due for more than a week so no payment is processing so the note should be salable. Is this not correct?

I'll be interested in the answer you get.  I've noticed the same thing more than once.  Seems to me there's a delay necessitated while the payment plan is being set up.  Bookkeeping?  Account re-verification?

I wonder how soon Lending Club will remove the payment_plan field now from notes_ext file. The trend is that whenever you complain about a field, Lending Club decides to remove the field altogether instead of fixing it.  Can you stop complaining to them? We are losing valuable fields even if they are sometime incorrect.  https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/cry.gif" alt=":'(" title="Cry" class="smiley" />

Well they haven't fixed the payment_plan field in the csv but they have changed the status to IGP (still on PP) and did make the note salable.

Below is a literal quote from LC. I have not tampered with it as Core would have done to add affect (or effect).

Thank you for your email.  I had called but unable to leave a voice mail for you earlier as I thought it would be easier for us to discuss over the phone.  In any case, I will try to explain via email but please feel free to contact me directly if you would like to discuss further.

First off, thank you for taking the time to alert us to the payment plan for Loan ID 14428544.  I have checked with our Payment Solutions team and have learned that even though this Loan is showing as on "payment plan," it is actually not on a true structured payment plan per se.  The borrower has missed a payment and our Payment Solutions team is working with the borrower to bring the Loan back to current.  However, it's not a formal arrangement of a payment plan and as such, in the download file, it's marked as "N."  I understand that this may cause some confusion but we are working on clearly defining/categorizing Loans that are truly on a formal payment plan versus those delinquent Loans that our Payment Solutions team is working on bringing back to current.

All that time I wasted learning to read; I'll get over it. I'll get over it, per se, per se, per se....

TravelingPennies

ha ha, so they've been using payment plan to flag which loans are in the payment team's pile of stuff to do?

Thatguybil

Ugghhhh
I have an analyst that I work with that uses the phrase "per se" all the time and it pisses me off.

It's not like they have policies and procedures, per se.
