BlueVestment / Auto Invest not working?
August 01, 2014, 11:00:00 PM
I'm experiencing problems with BV auto-invest too and have resorted to manually investing until the issue gets resolved.

BlueVestment / Speed of BV auto-invest
July 31, 2014, 11:00:00 PM
Has the speed of BV auto invest slowed recently?

I use the P2P-Picks filter. Today, I manually checked the 10am picks. I went to the LC website to see if I purchased any notes but there was nothing. Out of curiousity, I manually browsed for the Loan IDs and noticed that they were still In Funding, so I manually purchased them.

Isn't BV supposed to automatically poll for new P2P-Picks and once detected, auto invest based on my filter? And it's all supposed to happen within a minute or two, right? But today it was so slow that I beat it with manual purchasing. I think this has been going on for a few days now, it's just that I happened to catch it today.

A question for developers using the Prosper API.

According to the https://api.prosper.com/" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">Prosper API documentation:

NSR Invest / LC loan number comparison
July 23, 2014, 11:00:00 PM
I just downloaded the files on 7/24/2014 at 8:10pm Pacific time. I concur with rocco.g. The inconsistencies are still there.

In file LoanStats3b_securev1.csv on row 77685, id = 6300518 has grade = B and sub_grade = A1.
In the same file on row 97444, id = 5628625  has grade = C and sub_grade = A1.

As https://www.p2p-picks.com/article/prosper-publications" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">announced on June 29th, P2P-Picks now has Prosper Publications. However, it's only available via their API, not through the website.

Questions:
  • Are there any services that currently utilize P2P-Picks' Prosper API for automatic investing?
  • Are there any services or websites that display P2P-Picks' Prosper Publication picks for manual investing?
  • Where can a programmer get the info needed to access P2P-Picks' Publications, either LC or Prosper?

Yes, it will.
I have 4 LC accounts auto-investing through BlueVestment, all using the same filter, and they're all investing in the same loans.

NSR Invest / ROI and Loss calculation
July 21, 2014, 11:00:00 PM
For a single loan, how are the ROI and Loss calculated?

Run this LC filter:
Loan Status = Charged Off
Annual Income = 500000 to 500000
Grade = C

This results in exactly 1 loan: https://www.lendingclub.com/browse/loanDetail.action?loan_id=4306426" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">a $35,000 loan that was charged off.
How is the Loss = 183.38%?
How is the ROI = -168.03% [EDIT: I figured it out using https://www.nickelsteamroller.com/#!/stats/roi" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">NSR Returns Formula, though I still don't understand it. If someone can explain it in plain English, that'd be great.]
Also, why is Completed = 0.00%? (Isn't a charged off loan completed?)

Anxiously awaiting the day when BlueVestment supports P2P-Picks' Prosper API.

P2P-Picks / Performance of newer P2P-Picks models
July 18, 2014, 11:00:00 PM
On the https://www.p2p-picks.com/" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">P2P-Picks website, a performance study is given for Profit Maximizer and Loss Minimizer based on Model Version 1.2 (July 08).
From http://www.lendacademy.com/forum/index.php?topic=1299.0" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">Bryce's thread on Personal Portfolio Returns, it seems that the current version is Version 2, at least for Profit Maximizer.
Has there been a subsequent study done regarding the performance of the newer P2P-Picks models?
I'd love to see an updated article similar to http://www.lendacademy.com/comparison-of-different-p2p-lending-investment-strategies/" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">Comparison of Different P2P Lending Investment Strategies (May, 2013).

When I first started investing, it didn't matter.
After more research, I learned that 60-month loans have a greater chance of default so I started to favor 36-month loans.
Now, all of my new note purchases are 36-month only.

P2P-Picks / BlueVestment question
July 13, 2014, 11:00:00 PM
I understand P2P-Picks are classified as Top 1%, Top 5%, Top 10% and Top 25%.
When designing a P2P-Picks filter on BlueVestment, one can choose a P2P-Picks Top Percentile from 1 to 99.
Should one only choose 1, 5, 10 or 25?
Or can one choose something like 3, 7 or 15?
If I choose 7, will I get all the Top 5% picks plus a few more that fall between 5% and 7%?
Thanks in advance.
