Investors - LC / Folio ending August 28th.
August 08, 2020, 11:00:00 PM
So glad I got out when I did a few years ago- was always worried that this would come to pass and I would be "rushed" to get out. LC was good back then, but now there are many better things to invest in, that are less work, less headache at tax time. etc. I wish everyone well that continues to stay with LC. I still check the forum from time to time to see what's going on, are things better, etc. (And to see if the decision I made a few years ago is still the right decision.) So far that answer is still a Yes.

Good luck all.

Investors - LC / Winding down on Lending Club

I went with B first and when that completed went with C for the remaining notes. I feel like I got rid of notes in as quick and efficient fashion as I could without taking unnecessary losses.

Investors - LC / Worst Month Yet
December 06, 2019, 11:00:00 PM
Savor the feeling of being done, but at the same time, mourn the loss. I always felt like there was a lot of lost potential that LC left on the table when they decided to make whatever changes were made. I've since moved on to Fundrise, and have never looked back. That was 2+ years ago.

The decision to leave was the right one for me and I regained so much time by doing so. They even recover their own losses. They had one go bad about a month ago and just announced that they were able to fully recover it on their own so the investors were made completely whole. When did we ever see that with LC?

Anyone else having logon issues since Lending Club Me Too'd with the six-digit logon code a few days ago? I never receive mine after logging on. Tried multiple times. Tried sending multiple times, still no go.

(And yes my email is working. https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/smiley.gif" alt=":)" title="Smiley" class="smiley" /> ) (And yes I have checked my spam)

If I was more active with LC I'd call them but I'm only checking to see if there are any recoveries.

Am I the only lucky one?

Foliofn - LC / daily spend?

Speaking from the standpoint of someone that had 2 large accounts and has now been departed for a year- I don't think you're going to find too many large accounts still liquidating.

Most of "us" left closer to 2 years ago when the chargeoffs started spiking and then there were all the ethics things and bad loan underwriting surfaced which caused LaPlanche to be fired.

There are people letting their accounts run off, people like me that sold slowly at reasonable discounts so as not to take significant losses, fire sales, and a few dumpster fires. https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" class="smiley" />

I think that pretty well sums it up.

Got this in my email today:

Your LendingClub account will close soon.

Account ending in: XXX00

Dear ,

We noticed your account has had a zero balance and no new investment activity for an extended period of time. Because of this, we will be closing your account in the coming weeks.

Will I still be able to access my account after closure?

After your account is closed, you'll be able to log in to access past statements only. To add funds and invest in LendingClub Notes, you'll need to open a new account.

Still want to be a part of LendingClub?

If you want to keep this account open, simply reply to this email or contact Investor Services by September 10 using the phone number or email address below.
We're here to help. If you have questions or need assistance with your account, please feel free to contact us.

Best regards,
The LendingClub Team

I did reply to them that I wish to keep my account open- if anything to continue to get my recoveries, and maybe to cost them a few extra cents. https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/smiley.gif" alt=":)" title="Smiley" class="smiley" />

Will see  what the reply is.

I'm still here- sold my LC stock before the drop- missed out on selling earlier so I left some money on the table. However I'm happy to watch over the next few days, see if it drops any more, and then buy back in for the 10-20% run up before the next earnings.

Figure if I can hit the cycle a few times I'll be happy. Just need to pay a bit more attention than last time, set some sell triggers, and trust my gut a bit more.

Got something else to post shortly that came from LC.

Interest Radar / Is Interest Radar still active

Have you tried [email protected]? I just tried logging into my account there and had no issues.

One of the few things I still have an interest in about LC is their stock- I've got 26K shares. It seems to be fairly cyclical lately- before earnings it goes up a bit, after earnings, way down. I've watched it enough that I think I have a reasonable sense of timing. https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" class="smiley" />

Odd thing is that it went up quite a bit the last few days for no apparent reason. Not complaining, but does anyone know why? There's not anything in their press releases that I found, and we're still months off from the quarterly earnings. (Should be August 8th or thereabouts)

Any thoughts?

Investors - LC / New Platform

Best part is that it's BROKEN from the start!  https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/shocked.gif" alt=":o" title="Shocked" class="smiley" />

I have 2 notes that are 31-120 Bankruptcy filed but not yet charged off. They don't show in the Late 31-120.
And they aren't showing notes in Default at all- which is where they are.

Laughable! I'm so glad I'm out.

Investors - LC / Balance Drop Without Activity

Recoveries and related activity/charges?

Your question made me go look at my accounts and, found a $3.86 gift waiting- recoveries from loans long sworn over and charged off.  https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/grin.gif" alt=";D" title="Grin" class="smiley" />
