General P2P Lending Discussion / Bondora?
June 26, 2015, 11:00:00 PM
Hmmmm -- sounds interesting.  I just went to register on their web site to get more info.

Here is one interesting thing.  They ask for an IBAN account number on the personal details page.   I take it this means that one must have a EU denominated account in some Euro zone country (that uses the IBAN standard), correct?

FolioFN - Prosper / First

Decided to sell some out sized Prosper loans.  For all the knocks, the interface is pretty good (at least how it relates to selling notes).  I really like the 'sell at auction feature'.  There seems to be decent liquidity.  The first time around selling at auction starting with 0 % most notes got two or three bids driving up the price a little.

I was reading this thinking what is wrong with the XIRR?  Here is a interesting link where the guy shows problems with some XIRR results.    https://www.mhj3.com/excel.htm" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">https://www.mhj3.com/excel.htm  I doubt these type of 'wierd' results occur in most simple examples where the account balance never goes negative.

Also the paper mentions the Dietz method which gives somewhat similar results to the XIRR but not exactly the same.
There is an interesting write up and excel showing both XIRR and Dietz used on an investment portfolio and comparing results.
http://www.financialwisdomforum.org/gummy-stuff/Dietz.htm" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">http://www.financialwisdomforum.org/gummy-stuff/Dietz.htm‎  The results in this example are very similar, 8.19% for Dietz Annual Return and 8.40% for XIRR.

Investors - LC / Folio and IRAs
April 07, 2014, 11:00:00 PM
I have applied for a Folio account with my newly set up Roth IRA and it all processed OK and then said wait 4 business days.  That was a while ago and it is still in the same status so I called LC and the lady said that Folios are no longer allowed for IRA accounts.

If anyone is successful in getting a Folio open with an IRA after this can you let me know (or if you have any other info)?  It seems very odd (which I pointed out to the girl on the phone) that the system would allow you to apply for the folio and it just gets hung up and never goes though.  She implied there may eventually be a time when it is allowed (again) but could not give any kind of time estimate.

I  was informed that Notes can't be sold (or bought) via Folio with a Lending Club  IRA account.  How about Prosper.... can notes be sold (or bought) via Folio with an IRA account?

Investors - P / When do New Prosper loans Hit?
September 18, 2013, 11:00:00 PM
From reading through various threads I see 9AM Pacific time as one time loans are created on Prosper.  What are the various times/days (eg. Mon - Fri) that loans are created?

PeerCube / Is Income Verified?
February 23, 2013, 11:00:00 PM
I am logging in and then looking a 'Historical Performance based on Matured Loans'.  It shows 'Total ROI based on matured loans' = 6.8%.  If I select Is Income Verfied? both False, True or Both (False or True) come out with the same exact result, ROI = 6.8%.  Likewise changing other parameters (Employment status = Self-employed) then pressing Review Historical Performance and the result is still the same ROI = 6.8%.

Shouldn't the numbers change depending on the input parameters?
