BlueVestment / BlueVestment stuck?
March 10, 2017, 11:00:00 PM
Yes -- But I have forgotten how I got it going again.  I have BV investing for two accounts. I do remember that the "auto invest" switch was off on one account but on on the other.  BV was not auto investing for either account.

I plan on withdrawing money as payments come in.

If anyone can point me to a filter that utilizes statistical analysis like Bryce then I will be back in.  Seems to me that all the filters currently available are just using data points on a specific loan and not comparing the loan to a statistical analysis of completed loans.

In the mean time, I will be looking to build my own statical tool and try to figure out how to run the LC API against it.

Use your legal residence.  Everything with LC happens electronically.  In my 4+ years, I have never received a snail mail from LC

BlueVestment / The end of BlueVestment?
August 23, 2014, 11:00:00 PM
Have you considered the alternative:  Buy out the best Third party tool and shut it down.  Non-compete with the original principals. Wait six months and repeat.

I am 86% (36 month) and 14% (60 month) notes.

I stopped buying 60 month notes as my loss rates were triple my 36 month note per Interest Radar.

My early defaults in the 60 month notes increased my principal loss to unacceptable levels.

I don't believe that the higher interest rate on 60 month notes properly compensates for the additional principal loss.

I ONLY buy 36 month notes now.

If you read LC Automated Investing information, they are ranking investors internally.  The more cash that you have the better your access to loans:

"The frequency of orders is based on the cash balance of your account"  -- sounds like to me they are going to rank the accounts from highest cash to lowest.   IMO, someone that is a retail investor like me will always be at the bottom of the list as I try and keep my cash invested.

As written in an earlier post, cutoff the third party tools and I will be leaving LC too.

Investors - LC / wave of grace notes
May 17, 2014, 11:00:00 PM
NJG,

I can report that I have seem the same Grace problem as you.  The good news is that most of my Grace notes have been paying just in grace period.

I have also seen an increase in BKs.  LC seems to be filing the paper work on Chapter 13's -- per the collection log.

It appears to me that LC has changed their internal collections process.  Some agents seem to be working by the old rules while some agents are working by the new rules.  Some of my loans jump to external collections even before they go late while others stay in the LC collections dept. for months.  Others go 30 days late and never show any collection activity, but return to current within 60 days (like LC has done some type of internal review and is happy to wait for the payment). Usually these notes have an upward trend in their FICO.

I have started watching the FICO score more closely.  I see a direct correlation between significant FICO drops and loan moving from current to grace to late.  I have started using FICO score as an early warning of future problems.  I think I am stating the obvious to the reader here -- but -- I am repeating it for the benefit of the new lenders.

I disagree on one major point -- not 45 risk buckets -- but seven risk buckets for me (A - G).

I do believe that there are better loans (lower default potential) in each risk bucket.  I use P2P-Picks to identify those loans.

I also believe that statistically that there are better loans (do not payoff early) in each risk bucket.  I don't have a tool for that loan type.

With P2P-Picks, I am riding about 1.5% higher on the wave when I look at LC's graph that compares me to similar lenders.

Investors - LC / How much discount is typical
September 25, 2013, 11:00:00 PM
The fact that "...it has been referred to a collection service..." indicates to me that the loan has little value.  LC has information from or about the borrower that indicates their internal collection efforts will not be successful.  LC has dumped the loan on the external collection service.

I would not buy the loan at any price.  I have junk loans that have made 2 or 3 payments and then suddenly stopped paying.  LC almost immediately dumped them to the external collection service.  I have priced these at $3 and after 30 days they are still waiting on a folio buyer.

Hope you have better luck.

Not only are my notes not posting, but my automatic deposit has not posted as well.

Is this the usual IT maintenance date -- are they spending three days backing out the changes and restoring the files???

Or is LC holding the cash to make their banker happy by raising their MONTHLY AVG CASH BALANCE?
