Investors - LC / "Double-Down" on late payments???
September 06, 2013, 11:00:00 PM
Core said.............If IRR and return over deposits is irrelevant, then what would you suggest as a metric?

I care not.................I just think that displaying it after each & every post demonstrates a certain lack of class & good taste.  But hey, if the  posting of unverified numbers passes as fun for you, then great! I will remind myself to pretend to be real impressed in the future.

Ok, I know you guys have been waiting for this so I will make you wait no longer.

I am officially sanctioning the temporary use of the term "extreme difficulty"............but just like storm warnings, please check back as the warning may be lifted at any time.  https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/smiley.gif" alt=":)" title="Smiley" class="smiley" />

Investors - LC / Why not use an auto-invest service?

Brycemason..............As I told Peter some months ago, I'm not commenting on the "forum" anymore but I'll make an exception today.

Stating that "using the website as it is now is "untenable", seems a bit extreme. Shouldn't it instead be, using the website as it is now is untenable imo, or perhaps..................using the website as it is now is untenable to those users who rely on pick services such as mine or services that in one way or another channel users collectively to the same loans? Or users who essentially do nothing more than copy other users?  Would that not be more accurate?

I use LC daily for multiple accounts. Sure it's tougher these days & I've had to make a few minor adjustments, but isn't life itself about making adjustments? .......................Because, unlike you, I'm pretty far from saying "untenable". Then again, I don't use any pick services, & I don't even care what others "filter" for, much less copy what they do.  And no, I don't set my alarm clock, nor do I consistently wake up before 10 am.............or sometimes even noon.

So if one were to accept the flow of the conversation here, I must either be lying or getting totally crap loan choices.  Or perhaps you think LC is setting aside some "special" loans for me..................you know because of my consistently supportive behavior towards them  https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/smiley.gif" alt=":)" title="Smiley" class="smiley" />

It's not fully updated yet. It should say "in the process" of being fully paid. Wait a day or two & you should see that it'll fully update.

Investors - LC / 36 or 60?
March 23, 2013, 11:00:00 PM
What Anil is saying (obviously) is that the 60 month loans are not compensating investors enough to make them the better choice. For those of you who disagree with that assessment, I'd suggest you buy as many of them as you can, hold them & come back 2-3 & even 4 years from now (when they'll still be defaulting) & we can revisit this conversation.  https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/smiley.gif" alt=":)" title="Smiley" class="smiley" />

Of course it is almost a certainty that March numbers are going to be at the $10 million you've cited.................& possibly substantially higher in the $12-13 million range.

Investors - LC / Does anyone know....

Approximately 9 months & somewhere in the neighborhood of $17 million if I'm not mistaken.

New Jersey Guy...........Ok, here's a hint at one possible answer. What does ACH & automobile automatic transmissions have in common vis a vis LC borrowers & new car buyers? Don't say I never did anything for you (for free).  https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/smiley.gif" alt=":)" title="Smiley" class="smiley" />

Yes, i know. First Keltset decimates the illusion of the collection log & now I've put a few porous holes into the strategy of Folio sellers of potential distressed notes,............... who based their strategies without taking the above into account  https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/smiley.gif" alt=":)" title="Smiley" class="smiley" />

You guys all appear to have a rather heartwarming belief/trust in the accuracy, timeliness,  comprehensiveness, consistency, veracity (& a few other words I can't think of right now) of the "collections log". It's quite charming really (if not a bit frightening as well) that you're able to draw such comfort from a few notations.  https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/smiley.gif" alt=":)" title="Smiley" class="smiley" />

No, no, no,...........I'm not suggesting that it is all bs. I'm suggesting that I've been doing this long enough (& have lived long enough) to recognize the purpose of the collection log. Whether everything there is up to date, accurate, complete etc.,................is actually a bit secondary to the "belief" that it actually is, as you guys have demonstrated.  https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/smiley.gif" alt=":)" title="Smiley" class="smiley" />

Ok, go ahead, let me have the criticism!
