Investors - LC / getting IRA money from Strata
November 28, 2017, 11:00:00 PM
Hello All,

I am trying to transfer a portion of my Lending Club Roth IRA money back into my Vanguard Roth IRA.  Has anyone had experience doing this with Strata?

Vanguard sent Strata the paperwork on 10/6 and said it would take 4-6 weeks.  I am past that.

Any experiences to share?

Investors - LC / Advice please

Aside from the time savings of using the automated investing services, you are taking the human thought process out of it.  I mean this in a good way.  One of the first things I learned was that I am not smarter than the data.  For example, when I was investing manually, I didn't want to loan on $15,000+ loans.  I preferred to loan to someone requesting a smaller amount of money.  The data shows that my logic is completely wrong.  I could come up with other examples, but I think that's the best one.

Best wishes and welcome!

NSR Invest / Any issues with new fees?
July 29, 2015, 11:00:00 PM
Hello All,

I received my first quarterly fee statement with the new fee structure and it was almost $27 for just under $30,000 invested.  I was previously told by a rep from NSR that only new money invested through them would incur the fee.  I reached out to them on Monday, and they responded immediately that they were looking into it.  I haven't heard anything since.

Anyone else having any issues with billing?

Investors - LC / Real Estate Lending

Biggerpockets.com is devoted to all types of RE investing, and their forum has a sub-forum for crowd funding.  From their home page, go to forums, all forums, loans, mortgages, credit lines, and finally, real estate crowd funding.

One of their regular participants started a site called crowddd.com (crowd due diligence), but I haven't check it out yet.

Please post here if you find other useful discussion sites.

BlueVestment / P2P Picks through BlueVestment
July 08, 2014, 11:00:00 PM
Maybe I'm just confusing things.  I am using BlueVestment with only one filter and a stack of available cash.  I don't know how that differs from P2P Picks in how they get the data.  Sorry for my ignorance.

They are two different services, right?
Even so, wouldn't they encounter the same issues?

The title of this thread, "P2P Picks through BlueVestment" might be throwing me.  I hope I am making sense.  All I know is that I've still been getting loans everyday.  Perhaps volume was down, but I was still getting notes.

Investors - LC / Regular account or IRA?

Roth IRA, all the way.  If you have the ability to invest for tax free income, DO IT!

Investing - General (not P2P) /

This might be total B.S. so take it for what it's worth.  I think I remember reading somewhere that if they advertise the deals publicly, they must verify that you are an accredited investor.  If they instead make you sign up before giving you info on the deals (like Realty Mogul does) then they don't have to verify that you are accredited.

BlueVestment / Is Bluevestment working?
March 12, 2014, 11:00:00 PM
I sent the form that Nathan posted on 3/8, and received email confirmation from Lending Club on 3/11.  They didn't ask me for any additional info.  As of today, 3/13, the API token was there.  I guess it was just a formality that they wanted users to get the form directly from them.  Looking forward to using the service.  Thanks Nathan!
