I am thinking about redirecting the money I've been putting into LC to Groundfloor and Worthy Bonds.  I've done some research on them and will do more in December.

Investors - LC / LC Picks New Year Sale
September 18, 2020, 11:00:00 PM
I have updated the thread regarding my returns:

https://forum.lendacademy.com/index.php/topic,5166.0.html" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">https://forum.lendacademy.com/index.php/topic,5166.0.html

I use LC Picks exclusively as my tool to decide on which loans to invest in.

I attached a screen shot from my account below. It has been going pretty well lately.  My NAV is creepy up toward 10%

Investors - LC / Lending Club potential new offerings
August 27, 2020, 11:00:00 PM
Did anyone else take the survey LC sent in regards to their potential new offers?  They have been talking about expanding in banking areas.  The survey was asking questions about a lot of potential offerings. The three that peaked my interest were:

1-A CD that is tied to an index (i.e. S&P) and has a floating rate of return.

2-A CD that is tied to an index of Lending Club notes.

3-A high interest saving accounts for investors of Lending Club notes.

We'd need to see many details in regards to interest rate, risk, minimum deposits, ect, but I think the concepts were sound.

Any thoughts?

Investors - LC / My hardship loan experience
June 25, 2020, 11:00:00 PM
Good morning all,

I have been seeing a lot of comments in the forum in regards to hardship loans. Most of the discussion seems to be based around the secondary market. I have not yet entered that area of trading but thought I would give you my limited view from my account.

Over the past two months I've had about twenty loans in hardship pay off completely.  I'm always a bit surprised to see that but it is a pleasant surprise.  Why is someone in hardship if they can gather up the money to pay off the whole loan? I'm sure there are many reasons and theories.

It seems, from my limited view through the keyhole, that the hardship loans are not a death sentence for your investment. Not as of yet anyway.

Investors - LC / Bonus payments for Note purchases
June 01, 2020, 11:00:00 PM
I got this email the other day from Lending Club. Figured I'd put it here in case anyone missed it.

As we continue to navigate these challenging times together, we're humbled by the outreach of our investors asking how they can help our members. LendingClub has always been about people helping people, and this spirit is stronger today than ever.

So, as an investor, how can you help? The easiest way to express your support is to keep investing on the platform: an investment in LendingClub Notes provides funding to members looking for help, and today they need that support more than ever.

As a thank you for your dedication to our community, we'd like to offer you a bonus payment1 of 50 basis points, or 0.5% for all new Note purchases made between June 1 and August 31, 2020.

How does the bonus work?

Step 1: Invest in Notes from June 1 to August 31, 2020.
For example, if you invest $10,000 in new Notes between June 1 to August 31, 2020, you'd earn a 0.5% bonus payment, which would be $50.
Step 2: Check your account to see how much bonus payment you earned.
We will credit your account by September 30, 2020. The bonus can only be used to purchase new Notes, it cannot be withdrawn for cash or transferred into another account.
At LendingClub, our investors know there's more to our platform than just the investment return—it's about the people behind the loans who are on a path to better financial health for themselves and their families. This bonus is our way to say thank you for your support—we're heartened to see this incredible community in action.

Investors - LC / Returns during Covid-19 Economy

I am seeing the same thing. Lending Club has some plan in place for the borrowers to defer payments.  A lot of my payments are being pushed back into June and July.  I'd guess that anyone who would have been late on a payment even before this foolishness hit is taking that option.

It has been nice getting a bunch of A rated loans above 10%.

I'm with you wondering about the default rates of the future. A lot of loans are deferring payments into June and July.

Interesting few months coming up.
