I think it's a great idea as long as Folio is included. I would be willing to pay up to about $10 after trying it out for a week or two first.

The sliders on the folio website note browse filter are impossible to use on a smartphone. I'd pay just for that to be usable.

I like the idea. How would you minimize counterparty risk?

I noticed no new posts for about 24 hours until this morning. Is/was there a problem with the forum?

Investors - LC / LC Automated Investing vs API
January 29, 2015, 11:00:00 PM
I haven't used either and am wondering which route results in the higher returns with minimal work. It seems that users of the API encounter a lot of problems for one reason or the other. Is it worth the headaches?

I'm planning on starting an IRA for my wife and would like the investing to be as automated as possible through the LC site while still trading a few notes on the side.

Thanks.

How would P2P lenders be affected if interest rates started rising assuming the underlying economy remained largely unchanged?

I imagine that the value of notes held would drop, although prepayment risk would diminish. I think that new loans would generally be originated at a higher interest rate. I could see many lenders abandoning P2P lending for a safer return in savings accounts, CDs, etc. Perhaps several more discounted loans would then become available on Folio?

Investors - LC / Payment Pending
December 03, 2014, 11:00:00 PM
Do all notes go to payment pending on the due date or does this only happen if a payment is actually being processed? For example, if a borrower decided not to pay, would it still show up as pending on that due date?

Thanks.
