Ally uses Chase as an intermediary, which charges a $20 flat fee.

Chase has something like a $40 incoming wire transfer fee.

Schwab I'm unclear but in practice, their intermediaries charged me around  $13.50 for a transfer from Korea

Vanguard uses HSBC, and I'm wondering if anyone has ever used them for an international wire transfer, and how were the fees?

I use LC passively (set filters and invest) and I hardly spend any time at all on it anymore. I just withdraw money every month. Many of you lenders with higher ANARs seem to invest far more time in LC management. Me, I've never even looked at Folio. After doing the bare minimum of due diligence several years ago, and tweaking my filters every year as NSR and IR became available, I've stopped pretty  much everything. My 8% ANAR is fine.

Where do you guys draw the line?

They should have a patchnotes update regular on their blog. Those of you who play video games might know what I'm talking about.

Off Topic / The Stock Market Thread
October 01, 2013, 11:00:00 PM
I know nearly nothing of what has been mentioned in this thread already.

I'm long on some Vanguard core index funds. VTSAX, VBTLX (IRA only), VTIAX.

I exchanged all my VTSAX US stocks for VBTLX bonds following the govt. shutdown, and will keep them in this safer asset for a few months. Yes, I know this is market timing...but if the US defaults it'll be worth it. If not, I won't have missed out on much (probably)

My 10k in VTSAX taxable i leave untouched. I would've moved it but i've held <365 days and don't wanna pay the tax.
