(1) some states such as NY do not have access to new issue loans, so Folio is the only option for them. NY must have a lot of investors.
(2) Will be interested to know what grades were sold in premium? C or D? some people might be willing to pay a premium for FICO-trend-up never-late B/C/D loans a few months after issuance

Foliofn - LC / Folio API note selling
March 06, 2018, 11:00:00 PM
Anyone successfully used the latest Folio Notes API to post notes for sell?
The API document said you may POST to url https://api.lendingclub.com/api/investor/v1/secondarymarket/accounts/ACCOUNTID/orders" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">https://api.lendingclub.com/api/investor/v1/secondarymarket/accounts/ACCOUNTID/orders
with JSON content like [{"noteId":"NOTEID","price":25.00, "orderType":"SELL","expirationDate":"2018-03-14"}].
I tried but only get 400 bad request which means my JSON content is rejected. Now I am wondering whether that API document simply contains error.

Investors - LC / Dear LC
November 14, 2017, 11:00:00 PM
I regularly receive mails from discover bank, chase or AMEX offering personal loans. Do not know how their rate compares to LC, but the terms are very similar. I always think traditional banks have stronger client relationship so their marketing cost is lower than LC, but their branches are way more costly. But a lot of us are wrong thinking LC can easily beat traditional banks just by lower operating cost. One side though is that China p2p companies almost entirely rely on Apps for consumer lending, but LC never saw the need to let borrower take out loans using App. Why not?. https://forum.lendacademy.com/index.php?topic=4741.msg42436#msg88888888Quote"> from: rawraw on November 15, 2017, 08:57:56 PM

Did not see any recoveries posted in Feb for charged off loans. Usually see it in the last week of a month.

Foliofn - LC /
July 05, 2016, 11:00:00 PM
Lendingclub raised rate for E-G 60m by ~1% early June. And the notes you see are those issued right before the rate raise. Generally for 60m amortization loans, 1% rate change needs 2-3% price decrease to get the same Yield To Maturity. So 2% or more discount is necessary. Actually the notes you see currently in Folio need to discount FURTHER to match the yield of new issue loans

General Lending Club Discussion / Website Down
June 07, 2016, 11:00:00 PM
The website is usually down around 12am PST when they update their servers. Down around this time is unusual

I would not go as far to put Jefferies as scapegoat. However, my take on this event is two folds:(1)it's not a financially significant event but LC made a huge deal out of it. That implies LC's internal control is not that bad considering it's a young company. And LC will definitely strengthen its internal controls and compliances. The new chairman Hans Harris was a executive at Citi and Visa, who carries a lot of experience on managing financial companies. This is actually a big plus for retail lenders concerning about platform risks. (2) the resigning CEO is a founder and his resign will cause some turnover inside LC and may hurt its growth aspect if the new CEO does not have the same sharp vision and leadership as him. And this is negative for LC stocks.
