My account funding finally cleared today.  Yea!  https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/grin.gif" alt=";D" title="Grin" class="smiley" />
So I've finally started buying some notes based on some basic criteria from the research I've done over the past week.
Here's one I bought:  https://www.lendingclub.com/browse/loanDetail.action?loan_id=3696693" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">https://www.lendingclub.com/browse/loanDetail.action?loan_id=3696693
I know it was only applied for this morning, but why does it only have $425 of funding so far?  All the other notes in my portfolio seem to be getting funded at a much faster pace.
Is there something unappealing about this loan?

My wife wanted to get us into this back around the 2004-05 timeframe.  I kept trying to explain how much work it is and that it would be another full-time job on top of my full-time job.
After the bubble burst in 07-08, I did a little "see, i told you so" routine.  She ignored me, and now that real-estate is finally starting to come back, she's bugging me again about doing house flipping.   https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/huh.gif" alt="???" title="Huh" class="smiley" />
...think I'll stick with the investment plan we've been on.  https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" class="smiley" />

I haven't even started yet, and I'm already feeling like I missed the boat...  https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/cry.gif" alt=":'(" title="Cry" class="smiley" />

Investors - LC / 36 months vs 60 months

I was asking myself the same question earlier, and came across  this article:
http://andirog.blogspot.com/2012/06/lending-club-loan-length-and-default.html" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">http://andirog.blogspot.com/2012/06/lending-club-loan-length-and-default.html

Interesting that the default numbers are higher with the 60 month notes.  I still haven't digested all the info there, (or here for that matter... I'm new to this and it's a bit overwhelming at this point)  but it still seems like some worthwhile data in that article.
