With the brown nosing of inst. investors, I fear something very bad will happen in the future and have stopped adding new funds.  It's a shame as the returns are better with less risk, but I think LC will do whatever the big money demands and something unforeseen will bring this to a tragic end.

Investors - LC / Feeling Irritable!
May 16, 2013, 11:00:00 PM
I imagine this time of year when tax refunds arrive a higher number of early payoffs are likely.  The LC fee is no more than normal, they take 1% of all money they collect, but when it is all principal it sure hurts.

Since this is using all data through the end of last year, and the lowest is over 6%, how does LC justify their 5.4% or whatever they claim?  Or since this includes any trouble or default you are presenting a full story?

Well that is a good question, I ask myself this often, but the answer I always seem to come to, if I was to invest a small amount in every crazy idea that comes along, will the rare winner dwarf the mass amount of losers?

That is the question I really would like to be able to answer.  I seem to have found a new tool (10 years late no less) in the Motley Fool stock advisor subscription, that asks the same questions and how to act on some of the possible winners.  Sure they are wrong often as well, but right enough and sometimes huge, to make a better choice for my chances.
