  • New live transfer program

    Hello all!

    Over the years, I’ve worked with a variety of live transfer companies, some good and most of them bad. I’ve used domestic call centers and overseas centers from India, the Philippines, Eastern Europe and South America. I’ve tweaked the call scripts endlessly and experimented with different types of data. Many of you know that it is very difficult to find a decent live transfer company that can properly execute an MCA campaign. Many companies simply can’t deliver, either because the transfer agents don’t speak English well or the phone lists are inadequate or the call center technology is weak or a combination of all three. But when the live transfers are working, I have firsthand experience that it can become the main driver of new deals for ISOs/funders that have the personnel to utilize them properly.

    I’ve spent the past few months working with a carefully vetted call center to develop a reliable MCA campaign. I’ve found the type of data and scripts that have been consistently bringing in good quality transfers and now I’m ready to roll out the program to a select few partners.

    These are the main points of the program:

    1. Leads will be provided with the following information:

    Merchant Name
    Merchant Business Name
    Business Address
    Time In Business
    AVG Monthly Sales

    2. Lead information will be sent to Closer during Warm Transfer process. Lead Agent will conference Merchant with closer and provide closer information needed to pull lead info. Lead Agent will then introduce both parties, and drop off call.


    3. Leads will meet the following criteria:

    Merchant’s Business open and operating for at least 3 months

    Merchant’s Business depositing at least $10,000 in gross monthly sales or $100,000 in yearly gross sales.

    Owner or Decision Maker on behalf of the business

    Industry not on Prohibited Industry List


    4. Any leads not meeting the above criteria will be credited back.

    5. Leads will be billed at $40 each (30 live transfers is the minimum order)

    6. Leads will be prepaid, weekly, with reconciliation done to true-up each week based on the terms listed above.

    7. This is a week to week program. You can cancel the program at any time.

    8. Recordings will be available for every live transfer call in case there are disputes about quality.

    9. All live transfers are EXCLUSIVE. They are NOT being resold to anyone!

    At this time, I am only looking for two to three customers to sign up. That way, I can iron out any kinks in the process before trying to take on additional customers. In order for my customers to get the most out of this program, I am only looking to take on a company with the following in place:

    1. A team of at least 4 experienced closers with at least 2 phone lines that can be dedicated to receiving incoming transfer calls. That way, we can minimize the occurrence of dropped transfers.

    2. A company that has a CRM in place to manage the live transfer pipeline.

    3. A company that has some type of email marketing software in place so they can effectively follow up on those transfers that may have a longer sales cycle to close.

    4. A company that has the proper expectations going in that live transfers need to be worked competently just like any type of lead. They can’t have the mindset that a live transfer means that it is a qualified business owner that desperately needs to get $50,000 funded yesterday. If that’s what you’re looking for, then please keep your money.

    5. Most importantly, I’m looking for a company that has some veterans on their team. I’m not looking to handhold newbies. Sorry, but I have enough on my plate.

    Now I know that you may be wondering,”Well if these transfers are so great, why would he sell them? Why not just keep them all and fund them himself?” The answers are pretty simple and they are:

    1. I already receive transfers for my team and I have no wish to hire more closers, get larger office space, buy computers, etc. I don’t need the headaches and I don’t have the deep pockets that would be required to do this. I had a large team before and when there was a downturn in the industry, I got caught flat footed and lost a good amount of money. I vowed never to put myself in that situation again. Nowadays, I prefer to operate very lean and efficiently. I’m not looking to become the next CAN Capital. I’m fine being a small, profitable operation.

    2. I’m looking to create a lifestyle business where I don’t have to be glued to the phone closing deals. I’ve been doing that for seven years and I’m looking to free up my time to pursue the things that I enjoy (like snowboarding in the French Alps or kite surfing in the Philippines).

    ABOUT ME:

    I've been working in the industry for about seven years as a sales closer/manager for some of the largest funding companies and as an ISO.
